Dark Moon & Star Hunting Pouch #8

Beaver tail style pouch made out of 2-3 ounce cowhide with a dark moon & star applique’ on front of the flap along with some brass spots. In addition, this pouch does have a 1.5 inch gusset and a inside pocket. Strap is 3/4 inches wide and features a brass buckle. I lined this pouch with striped ticking. Saturday February 1st my wife and I took a short 4.5 hour drive up to Manhattan, Kansas to the 35th Annual Kansas Muzzleloaders Convention at the Four Points by Sheraton hotel. Ago weeks ago I made a panel pouch and I absolutely loved the way it came together. I wanted to make another panel pouch but with some slight modifications. We had to stop at Chimney Rock – Nebraska. Chimney Rock Chimney Rock was a major landmark for the people traveling the Oregon Trail. In addition, the first recorded mention of “Chimney Rock” was in 1827 by Joshua Pilcher an American fur trader and Indian agent. Cliff Dwellings at Tonto National Monument

These are some well-preserved cliff dwellings were occupied by the Salado culture during the 13th, 14th, and early 15th centuries. The Salado were fine craftspeople, producing some of the most flamboyant polychrome pottery and intricately woven textiles to be found in the Southwest. Tonto National Monument is a National Monument in the Superstition Mountains.
