Hunting Pouch
In October I had the privilege to take several classes being taught at Conner Prairie in Fishers, Indiana on some leather working for knife sheaths, accouterments and hunting pouch. I built this Tennessee hunting pouch out of chromium tanned deer hide that is all hand stitched with artificial sinew. This was some extra thick stuff. The inside is fully lined with duck canvas and also is fully welted on the seams. The strap is oil tanned cow hide with brass buckle. The strap is adjustable. The flap features a rolled edge. Hunting pouch also has a two inch gusset.
I wanted to liven things up on the front of a Kentucky Rifle Hunting Pouch so I did some beading on the front flap and on the scalloped edge along the inside a top of the bellows. Kentucky Rifle Hunting Pouch I created following Ken Scott’s Pattern and video. Furthermore, I learned a lot of great techniques to apply to future leather work. This hunting pouch has 3 separate compartments inside. I also lined the inside with pillow ticking. SOLD
